Omnia 2011 Chateauneuf du pape

Bouquet opens up with lots of burnt licorice, big plums, pickled black cherries, cloves, some cinnamon, marzipan, chocolate cake, BBQ, black pepper and a bit of cinnamon.

Palate shows powerful big plums, high concentration and hot on mid palate, with a transition into a long, smoked and intense sweet caramel / peppery finish.

Oh boy… oh boy… what is this wine, please?

That’s pure power, with enormous structure and substance.

I love CNDP and I enjoy the more elegant ones, but boy, this has power, but does not take fat. Not does it have the old plummy taste, oh no, it’s the perfect ripe, but fresh and sweet plums.

This is really amazing! A wonderfully complex, delicious, yet super heavy and fresh wine.
