Bouquet opens with espresso bean, leather, cassis, lots of black fruits, lots of cedar.

Palate shows very classic, but with a lot of grip by the tannins and fruit power.

Long and toasted finish, with espresso, hints of caramel and burnt tonneau.

I am stunned by that wine.

This 96 shows full maturity, but it does not show any sign of weakness.

The tannins are still extremely firm and the mid palate shows lots of density and elegant power.

The wine still seems closed on the palate, but I am unsure if it will ever be able to expand more complexity and elegance, or if it’s at its peak.

Excellent wine and honestly, I’d buy again.
