From time to time, a pinot noir from burgundy finds its way into my Glas.
I won’t lie, Burgundy and especially Pinot noir from this region is said to be the “master class” of your wine career.
Everyone I met so far and who was drinking lots of wine for may years told me that I’ll end up almost only drinking Pinot noir from burgundy.
So far, I can’t confirm as it seems my wine career hasn’t been long enough.
But I can enjoy a glas of good Pinot noir from time to time, even if my expertise here is insufficient to have real benchmarks.
This one is neither a grand cru nor from a very specific “Clos”. But still, for about 16€, it is excellent and highly accessible.
The bouquet shows lots of spice, crushed stone, some tobacco, raspberry and cherries.
On the palate it shows highly balanced with a higher density, slight sweet berries and dissolving tannins and highly juicy.
Medium+ finish.

Love it! It’s less elegant than a grand cru, but also less complex and super accessible – all of at by maintaining the character of a good Pinot Noir from burgundy.
The price is also excellent, I didn’t expect to find such a gem in burgundy for this price.
If you feared Pinot noir so far, give it a try. It combines a little of a modern but authentic style with lots of joy!
I’d buy again!
