Wonderful label and name – “le Soleil” or in English, “the sun”. A complex bouquet of plums, juniper berries, some red wild berries and blueberries. Everything is underlined by a soft tobacco blend and herbs.
On the palate, the wine is very juicy with closed tannins and a generous sweetness that is then cleaned by a stronger licorice aroma. Highly persistent and aromatic.
Longer finish.

Excellent CDR. I would not say that this is a CNDP. I found some aromas in it that resemble a good CNDP, but it has a different character. It’s more generous on the sweet fruity side and has some different flavors. But still, it’s impressive how this can be a CDR villages… you can search a for a long time to find something like this in this price range in CNDP or even on CDR cru.
