Micro fight between those 2 #chiantiriserva of 2015 vintage. I did not want to open them up, so why not using my #Coravin :). The Chianti from #laspinosa and the Chianti #anticoborgo are very different.

While the Spinosa feels more raw and has more power on the palate, the Antico is more elegant and balanced.

On the Bouquet, the alcohol is more present in the Spinosa and it has a more herbal note with some Underwood.

The Antico is a wine that is more defined with red berries, strawberries roses and cedar.

Both are about a medium length on the finish.

For me, the winner is clearly the Antico, as I prefer a more elegant and balanced Chianti over power and concentration with rustic tannins, which matches better for la Spinosa.

Neve less, the la Spinosa is still very young, which gives it room for improvement, the Antico is already very accessible and has some molten tannins, which will soften even more over time.
