Bouquet shows herbal and candied. It opens with candied orange peel, yellow honey, apricot jam and a green spice mixture. In the background, the smell is underlined by kerosene, wet stones and saffron.
On the palate of medium + concentration. The sweet juice lays gently on the tongue and slowly melts like a piece of burnt caramel. After the sweet, you’ll taste a very fresh, fine and balanced acidity.
The finish is nutty and medium +.

Conclusion:
Extremely beautiful Sauternes, which is not too sticky and which has quite a lot of freshness.
I especially like in the bouquet that the yellow honey will stay along and shows a very nice play with the herbs and the minerals.
On the palate, it is sweet, but not pappy sweet and showing a very nice freshness which is accentuated by the acidity.
A beautifully matured Sauternes, which must not hide from the big ones. Currently in the optimal drinking window.

Bouquet zeigt sich kräutig und kandiert. Vordergründig mit kandierter Orangenschale, gelbem Honig, Aprikosenmarmelade und grüner Gewürzmischung. Im Hintergrund verstrecken sich Kerosin, nasse Steine und Safran.
Am Gaumen von mittlerer+ Konzentration. Der süße Saft legt sich sanft auf die Zunge und schmilzt langsam dahin wie ein Stück gebranntes Karamell und zeigt im Nachgang eine sehr feine und ausgeglichene Säure.
Der Abgang ist nussig und von mittlerer+ Länge.

Fazit:
Ausgesprochen schöner Sauternes, der nicht zu klebrig ist und durchaus viel Frische besitzt.
Besonders gefällt mir am Bouquet, dass der gelbe Honig nach Hinten heraussticht und ein sehr schönes Spiel mit den Mineralien zeigt.
Am Gaumen ist er zwar süß, aber nicht pappsüss und zeigt eine sehr schöne, durch die Säure, akzentuierte Frische.
Ein wunderschön gereifter Sauternes, der sich auf keinen Fall vor den ganz großen verstecken muss.
