Bouquet shows floral and red fruits. A ver nice play between fresh roses and cherries, followed by wet forest ground and soft roasted aromas.

On the palate, highly fresh, soft, elegant and juicy. High harmony and very low tannin with picky acidity on the front of the tongue.

Finish shows of medium length and highly fruity.

Conclusion:

There was a time, where I didn’t enjoy chianti wines and I’m glad I changed my mind!

Of course, you’ll find many out there, that don’t taste well, but this one is a very good value wine for about 8 €.

It’s tender, feminine, elegant and soft.

Not a complex, but delicious wine, that pairs best with some nice Italian pasta!

Chianti 2014 – Monte Guelfo (Chianti, Toskana)

Bouquet ist sehr floral und rotfruchtig. Ein sehr schönes Zusammenspiel aus frischen Rosenblättern und Kirschen, gefolgt von Waldboden und sanften Röstaromen.

Am Gaumen von sehr hoher Frische, schlank, elegant und saftig. kaum Tannin sowie sanft-pikankte Säure auf der Zungenspitze zum Schluss.

Der Abgang zeigt sich von mittlerer Länge und sehr fruchtig.

Fazit:

Es gab mal eine Zeit, in der ich keine Chianti mochte und ich bin froh, dass ich sie hinter mir gelassen habe!

Gewiss, es gibt auch einige nicht ganz so gute Exemplare, aber was ich hier im Glas für knapp 8 € habe, ist wirklich unglaublich fein, feminin, saftig und zart.

Kein komplexer, aber dafür umso schönerer Wein. Vor allem als Essensbegleiter zu Pasta zu empfehlen!
