Bouquet is ripe, slightly smoked and concentrated. High complexity with dried dark fruits, cassis, cherries, plums, vegetal notes, high spice, herbs (basil, mint, Tobacco), cedar and wet earth.
On the palate of a very high concentration, textured, very slight fat, smooth and highly aromatic. You can taste the bouquet here 1: 1. very silky mouthfeel, slightl animalistic and molten tannins. The acid is very well integrated and still has a beautiful structure.
The finish is long, very sharp, shows wet wood and dark chocolate.

By itself, the bouquet makes you hungry for more. Very varied and complex, and despite its variety, still a bit closed.
On the palate this wine is beautiful and after every sip high pleasure is flowing through me, because it is just so amazingly tasty and balanced. The only complaint here would be that the producer has little exaggerated and the wine has no real direction – no wonder with a blend of 23% Sangiovese, 22% Cabernet Franc, 21% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. 8% Alicante, 6% Syrah, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Mourvedre!
However, let me say that he has been able to make a beautiful wine that tastes really exceptional and has an incredible texture on the palate.
Again, I rarely had so much pleasure to taste a wine. Anyone who loves “Super Tuscans” should try it at least once, it’s worth it.

Caiarossa 2006 – Caiarossa (Toskana)
Bouquet ist reif, leicht geräuchert und konzentriert. Hohe Komplexität mit getrockneten dunklen Früchten, zudem Cassis, Kirschen, Pflaumen, vegetabile Anklänge, hoher Würzigkeit, Kräuter (Basilikum, Minze, Tabak), Zeder und nasse Erde.
Am Gaumen von einer sehr hohen Konzentration, texturiert, sehr leicht fett, geschmeidig und hoch Aromatisiert. Das Bouquet setzt sich geschmacklich hier 1:1 fort, sehr seidiges Mundgefühl, leicht animalisch und sehr runde Tannine. Die Säure ist sehr gut integriert und hat noch eine schöne Struktur.
Der Abgang ist lang, sehr scharf und zeigt nasses Holz und Bitterschokolade.

Allein das Bouquet gibt Lust auf mehr, sehr vielfältig und komplex, allerdings etwas verschlossen.
Am Gaumen ist dieser Wein wunderschön und durchströmt mich nach jedem Schluck mit einer hohen Freude, denn er ist einfach unglaublich schmackhaft und ausgeglichen.
Einziger Kritikpunkt wäre hier, dass der Erzeuger etwas übertrieben hat und der Wein keine wirkliche Richtung hat – kein Wunder bei einer Cuvée aus 23% Sangiovese, 22% Cabernet Franc, 21% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. 8% Alicante, 6% Syrah, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Mourvedre!
Allerdings sei gesagt, dass es ihm gelungen ist, einen wunderschönen Wein zu machen, der wirklich außergewöhnlich schmeckt und eine unglaubliche Textur am Gaumen aufweist.
Auch hier wieder selten so viel Freude daran gehabt, einen Wein zu degustieren.
Jeder, der „Super-Toskaner“ mag, sollte hier einmal zugreifen, es lohnt sich.
