By Gerardo Corleone. Every Geisenheim alumnus remembers awesome parties at Kosakenberg – or maybe doesn’t remember them 😉 Kosakenberg aka Freiherr von Zwierlein used to be a renowned Rheingau estate and was even part of VDP, but nowadays it is a student dorm. And a pretty great one. Also the label looks like it survived some pretty hard parties.

The bouquet shows some aromas of ripe peach and apricot with some stoney-smokey hints – defensive, but really pleasant and serious.

BUT then there are these LEMONS! On the palate it still shows such an incredible freshness with crispy-zesty citrus flavours and a pretty vivid amount of acidity. Green apples and again some smokey hints add to it and make it even better.

No palpable residual left in this Kabinett, that’s why it shows a dry and slightly salty finish. Not really persistent, but elegant aftertaste and most importantly: You want another glass…or two. Cheers!
