Bouquet ist komplex, von guter Dichte und offenbart Kaffee, Tabak, getrocknete Beeren und Würze.
Am Gaumen von mittlerer bis hoher Dichte, moderate Säure, viel gut integriertes Tannin. Sehr schöne Struktur am Gaumen, leicht übertrumpfende Süße, welche von den Tanninen schnell eingeholt wird.
Der Abgang ist von ausgezeichneter Struktur und hinterlässt intensive karamellisierte, süße Aromen, ein wenig Holz und Schokolade.

Prognose: Ist bereits in einer sehr schönen Phase. Man möchte meinen, dass er noch viel Potenzial hat, allerdings verrät die Säure, dass der Wein nur noch begrenztes Potenzial hat. Ob er besser wird, ist wirklich schwer zu sagen, durch die starke Aromatik befürchte ich, dass selbst wenn die Tannine weicher werden, er an anderer Stelle verlieren könnte.
Wine Juggler Fazit: Definitiv ein moderner und etwas “gemachter” Wein. Allerdings auf eine sehr gute Art und Weise, denn er ist komplex und sehr aromatisch. Mir persönlich schmeckt dieser Wein extrem gut, denn ich liebe diese Aromen von getrockneten Beeren und auch sehr gut bekommt mir die Süße am Gaumen, so dass ich diesen Wein am liebsten “essen” würde! Ein klarer Favorit in der Preisklasse und wahrscheinlich nicht mehr für den ursprünglichen Preis zu bekommen.
Wer wird diesen Wein lieben: Trotz der vielen aufgezeigten Stärken, könnte er vielen Leuten zu süß sein. Er ist vom Stil her auch nicht feminin, denn dafür ist er am Gaumen dann doch zu rau und intensiv. Für jeden, stark aromatische Weine mag, die ein tolles Geschmackserlebnis versprechen ohne all zu tief und komplex am Gaumen zu werden, ist dieser Wein definitiv geeignet. Ich liebe ihn!

Serpara 2008 – Re Manfredi
Bouquet is complex and of high density with tobacco, coffee, dried fruits and spice.
On the palate of medium to high density, medium acidity, highly tannic but well integrated. Nice structure, a bit overwhelming sweetness on palate that is stopped by the tannins after a while.
The finish is very well structured and shows sweet caramel, wood and chocolate.

Forecast: Already very nice to drink! You could think that the wine has still a lot of potential, but the acidity tells me, that if it gains on harmony, it might lose on the aroma side. Very hard to say at the moment, but I think it’s ready to drink now.

Wine Juggler conclusion: Definitely a modern and “sophisticated” wine. However, very well made, because it is complex and highly aromatic. I liked this wine very much because I love these aromas of dried berries and the sweetness on the palate. It’s a wine i’d barely prefer to eat than to drink! A clear favorite in this price range and probably much higher priced now, as Robert Parker rated it with 94 pts.
Who will like this wine: Despite the many identified strengths, it could be too sweet for a lot of people. He is not feminine in the style, for such too rough and intense on the palate. For everyone who loves highly aromatic wines, this will be a real jewel. Not too complex on the palate, just delicious! I love it.
