Bouquet ist sehr komplex, getrocknete Gräser, Erde, Röstaromen, dunkle Kirschen.

Am Gaumen sehr aromatisiert, Trüffel, leicht fett, Kaffee, Lakritz, Pflaumen mit einem abklang in sehr reichlich vorhandene, jedoch sehr seidigen Tannine. Sehr frische Säure. Weit überdurchschnittliche Persistenz!

Der Abgang ist geprägt von eher rauchigeren und geräucherten Noten, wobei am Gaumen sich die Aromen mehr und mehr zu würzigen Aromen entwickeln.

Etwas fett, aber in keiner Weise schwer, sehr guter, reichhaltiger Geschmack und Mundgefühl.

Ein Wein mit Charakter, Potenzial und hoher Eleganz!

Trinken: jetzt – 2025 (besser ab 2018)

WineJuggler Fazit: absoluter Spitzenwein und einer meiner neuen Favoriten aus der Region. Allerdings auch etwas teurer (um die 49€). Dennoch hat sich für mich jeder Cent gelohnt!

Wer wird diesen Wein lieben: für Liebhaber komplexer, stark aromatisierter Weine die zugänglich sind.

Il Blu – Brancaia 2010

Bouquet is highly complex and of high density. Dried herbs, earth, toast and black cherry. Very clean.

On the palate, very aromatic, truffle, slight fat, coffee, licorice and plums that lead into a bunch, but very soft tannins. Awesome freshness of the acidity, extreme persistence on the palate.

The finish is mostly smoked and toasted and the aromas on the palate become more and more herbal with time.

Wine Juggler conclusion: this is without a doubt an very good wine that will become excellent with further cellarimg. Could easily become one of my favorites from that region. Can’t wait to drink it in a riper stage! I’m in love. It combines density with elegance due to the awesome aromatic. At no moment, this wine becomes heavy. A must!

Who will like this wine: for lovers of full bodied wine that are complex but accessible and harmonious. I would recommend this to any Tuscany fan.
